Royal Green World is a purpose-driven NGO headquartered in Buea, Cameroon empowering youth, women, and crisis affected communities with green skills, agriculture, socio entrepreneurship, project incubation, leadership, mentorship, technology, and mindset shift through its flagship programs, GECtech(Green Empowerment Center and Technology), and ASEN (African Social Entrepreneurial Network).
"We believe that secular economy and green project incubation are Africa's most powerful response to climate change, poverty and inequality. Every skill we teach is a life transformed."
The first meeting between Royal Green World, UNICEF and the Bikok Municipality (Centre Region) for the setting up of an Eco Park under the child-friendly commune initiative. Mayor Odette OTTOU led the site visit. Children participated in a co-creation activity, drawing their visions for the eco-park — promoting ecological awareness and community responsibility from a young age.
Royal Green World hosted the ROOHCAM monthly meeting at its Buea office, focused on community engagement and risk assessment for the prevention of sexual exploitation, abuse and gender-based violence. Facilitated by Mr. Nforbi Miterand (ROOHCAM focal point) and Dr. Fany Kengne, the session empowered participants to become community advocates against GBV and SEA.

Our mission is to work closely with stakeholders in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals: 2, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15 and 17 through community actions by promoting capacity building through vocational training, community development, environmental protection and climate action through waste management, women, children, youth and less-privileged empowerment through leadership and entrepreneurship, activism against GBV and SEA, and digital (AI) technology skills.
The Anglophone conflict in Cameroon's Northwest and Southwest regions has displaced more than half a million people. Royal Green World responds directly to this reality by empowering Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs), vulnerable women and youth to rebuild their lives through green skills and enterprise.
With a formal MOU with UNDP Cameroon and in partnership with MINJEC (Ministry of Youth Affairs), Royal Green World channels international support into real, measurable community transformation through the GECtech programme and GECtech incubator.
The Green Empowerment Center and Technology (GECtech) is one of Royal Green World's flagship training programs, empowering youth and women in green skills, sustainable entrepreneurship and technology.
GECtech is a complete pipeline which trains, incubates, and scales businesses.
"Empowering Youths and Women for Sustainability and Impact"Comprehensive training in solar panel installation, eco-pavement production, ecological charcoal, plastic and tire recycling, and biogas production to equip youth and women with practical green skills.
A comprehensive ecosystem that combines business incubation, technology for impact, and strategic partnerships to help graduates scale sustainable green enterprises from concept to market.
Responding to the humanitarian crisis in Cameroon's Northwest and Southwest regions, Royal Green World trained over 100 IDPs, women and youth in five sustainable skills tracks — fully funded by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) through the YWEEP initiative.
"I am an IDP who ran because of the Anglophone crisis and relocated to Buea. When I started the training I discovered it includes women empowerment and sustainability. With so many blackouts in my community, I was motivated to take this opportunity — I can never forget what Royal Green World gave us."
"I studied disaster management at university. I want to say a very big thank you to the CEO of Royal Green World and UNDP for sponsoring such a great program. I am grateful for gaining skills to transform plastic waste into eco-pavements, reducing pollution and the spread of diseases."
"I came from the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, University of Buea. It has not only been a program for briquette training, but also a mind-building process. I am sure many of us have received a lot from this program — I myself have improved psychologically."
"We appreciate Royal Green World for coming up with such a great program to greatly impact the lives of women and youth. Through this program we acquired skills and solutions to plastic pollution. One can start a business with zero capital just by picking plastics from the street and upcycling them."
After GECtech Phase I, graduates completed a 7-month internship with Royal Green World — deploying real green infrastructure across communities in Cameroon. UNDP Representative Madam Ebot Ojong Anna remarked: "Fany, you are so amazing — with what you are doing, many lives will be transformed."
"We were full of curiosity and ambition but lacking practical experience. Through GECtech, our journey transformed dramatically. We completed a 7-month internship and went on to install solar systems at hospitals, residences, schools and public spaces across the region."
"This initiative birthed in us passion and determination. We began prototyping, identified customers in need of eco-charcoal, and got market feedback. We identified raw material collection spots and planned to scale production in response to high demand from households."
After GECtech training, the Biogas team installed a digester at the Multipurpose Youth Centre Buea and a 50m³ biogas digester at a primary school in Nkonsamba — providing clean cooking gas and producing organic fertilizer from slurry for the school community.
"Through this program we acquired skills and solutions to pollutions caused by plastics and tyres. One can start a business with zero capital just by picking plastics from the street. With this knowledge we desire to teach our communities to create a greater impact." — Ngove Mongambe, Mercy Manjoh, Befe Regina & Anyingang Sydwan
After completing GECtech Phase I training, graduates undertook a 7-month internship with Royal Green World — designing, installing and managing real green energy infrastructure across Cameroon.
Designed to serve a hospital in Muea suffering from electricity outages. Ensured uninterrupted power for patient care, vaccine storage, and emergency services.
Supplied electricity to an entire household in Muea, allowing all domestic appliances to operate seamlessly without reliance on unstable grid supply.
A technically demanding large-scale implementation involving complex design, advanced inverter configurations, and industrial wiring standards.
Enhanced security and nighttime mobility through pole installation, solar panel mounting, and automatic lighting control systems.
A major institutional project requiring high-level engineering precision. Powers large facilities with substantial energy demand.
One of the most technically demanding projects, featuring massive energy infrastructure and multiple high-capacity inverters in synchronization.
Combined renewable energy with surveillance technology to ensure continuous monitoring in areas with unreliable grid electricity.
Transforming organic waste (sawdust, agricultural residues) into clean energy briquettes to reduce deforestation and provide affordable fuel.
We are going to directly implement community projects in partnership with UNICEF, UNDP, Rocam, and in government missions across Cameroon.
A workshop on capacity building and wealth creation through waste management, organized in partnership with the Delegation of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Civic Education. Participants from REVACAM and BRITE ACADEMY attended practical sessions facilitated by Mr. Tapa Marcel, Chief Engineer of Royal Green World.
Royal Green World deployed biogas refilling stations and portable biogas storage bags (worn as backpacks) into rural communities — eliminating the need for women to travel into unsafe areas to collect firewood. The biogas is produced from organic waste and the slurry by-product becomes organic fertilizer. A full community engagement workshop trained locals in production, safe handling and maintenance.
"I am an IDP who ran because of the Anglophone crisis and relocated to Buea. With so many blackouts and electricity problems in my community, I knew it was necessary to take this training. I want to thank Royal Green World for giving us this opportunity which I can never forget, and thanking UNDP for supporting this program."
"I studied disaster management at university. I am grateful for having gained skills to transform plastic waste into eco-pavements, reducing pollution and the spread of diseases such as malaria. A very big thank you to the CEO of Royal Green World for bringing up such a programme, and equally UNDP for sponsoring it."
"I came here for the training on charcoal briquette production. It has not only been a programme for briquette training, but also a mind-building process. I am sure many of us have received a lot from this programme, and I myself have improved psychologically and professionally."
Sub-Saharan Africa faces profound crises — over 40% of the population lives below the poverty line, 15 million new jobs are needed annually by 2030, and climate impacts have quadrupled since 1970. Despite the dynamism of Africa's social entrepreneurs, they operate largely in isolation — unable to pool resources, share knowledge, or influence policy. ASEN turns this fragmentation into collective power. Starting with a pilot in Cameroon, ASEN will build a replicable model ready to scale across the continent.
ASEN represents a unique opportunity to strengthen social innovation, stimulate youth and women's employment, and contribute concretely to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals across Africa. We invite donors, impact investors, cooperation agencies, UN organisations, public institutions and entrepreneurship support structures to co-build Africa's most powerful social innovation ecosystem.
